Okay, so the heading is not all true.
I am not quitting LinkedIn now, but I wanted to quit 6 months ago.
and if you feel like you are losing motivation to write every day on a platform just like I did, this newsletter is for you.
I wanted to quit LinkedIn 6 months ago because there was a constant pressure of creating content.
It was overwhelming.
It was tiring
I know this is a part of my work but I never saw writing as work. I enjoyed it.
and I stopped enjoying it some months back because a lot of you got connected with me. This made me not post anything that doesn’t serve a purpose or isn’t valuable.
> I was posting every day
> I was engaging every day
> I was reaching out every day
> I was making connections every day.
And god, it was too much.
Not only that, but the reach was pretty stagnant too.
After experimenting and discovering why I stopped enjoying LinkedIn writing, I found out I was doing the same thing repeatedly.
Same style and the same everyday insightful posts.
It felt boring after a point.
But how did I overcome this?
What changed?
Style.
I started changing the style of my old posts and posted the same content with changes.
And it did well.
I experimented with multiple structures to find out which “real content” worked the best for me.
1. A well-thought hook
2. An insightful body structure
3. An honest opinion
4. Solving one problem, a post
5. A takeaway for all of you
6. Content so strong that it makes you think twice.
This worked the best for me.
But more importantly, I love the comments and DMs.
Sometimes I can't imagine the love I get in the DMs. It's real.
I love seeing how my posts help so many of you and how.
This keeps me going even after quitting LinkedIn multiple times.
So if you are struggling with algo, reach, pressure and traction – I SEE YOU.
I was there once as well.
It might feel overwhelming but it will be worth it.
Just don’t stop posting.
If you do, take a day or two but come back at it.
I hope this helps you keep going with any platform that you want to grow on!!.
Love, S
You need to change it up. I'm starting video soon and I think that will make my content much more engaging.
